Now here is something a little different from us. Kickboxing is a sport you don't often hear about and for all intents and purposes it's a relatively new martial art when compared to older forms like Karate, Judo and Kung Fu.

Futsal fever is beginning to spread across the country. It's the FIFA recognised version of what we call five-a-side football but with very fundamental and important differences. Our continental counter parts have been taking futsal seriously for a lot longer than we have in England. Now many are crediting it as one of the main reasons why top footballing nations are thriving in major football competitions.

The first ever K.N.C.C challenge trophy is happening this weekend on Sat 7th September at The South London Bowls Club 19 Lyford Road Wandsworth, London, SW18 3LU. The tournament has been born from the endeavours of Andrew Newell, a school teacher with big ambitions to become the world’s first Jamaican lawn bowls player on the world stage.

Pre-season in Non-league can be as thrilling as the season its self and sometimes special fixtures happen. There have been a wide host of odd games organised by non-league clubs. Just in our experience alone we have seen Ex England manager Glen Hoddle stroll out at Kingstonian FC with his GHA Academy. We have seen Tooting & Mitcham play host to a semi Guyana national side and most recently Premiership side Crystal Palace play Dulwich Hamlet.
